    Rab enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters and 2500 hours of sunshine annually.
    Rab is thus one of the sunniest parts of Europe.

    The most frequent winds are the cold bura and the warm jugo. Snow is rare.

    The position

    The island of Rab belongs to the northern group of Adriatic islands in the Kvarner Gulf and is located at 44 degrees north. It lies at the foot of Velebit, the distance from the town of Rijeka approx. 105 km.
